La Strada dei Pastelli – OLD2

The annual La Strada dei Pastelli Chalk Art Festival is 2D4D’s signature event. This community engagement is distinguished from all other events in Oregon’s Washington, Clackamas, or Multnomah Counties. La Strada dei Pastelli is an immersive, open-air festival that features large-scale street painting, live music, hands-on activities, and arts vendors.

Using bold, colorful pigments, both established and emerging visual artists work shoulder-to-shoulder to produce 5’x5’ to 10’x15’ temporary drawings on asphalt. Simultaneously, local school bands, community choir groups, small indie bands, and soloists showcase their talents both on stage and off. Each year the Festival provides several opportunities for the public to participate – draw their own 2’x2’ masterpiece, or contribute to a master design laid out and facilitated by a local artist.
